CSI International Real Estate the future of real estate between internationalisation and cryptocurrencies

Milan, 10 May 2024 – at the Hilton Hotel in Milan, the second edition of the event organised by CSI International Real Estate Network was held with great success. This meeting offered an unprecedented opportunity for real estate professionals from around the world to share ideas and perspectives on the increasingly international future of Real Estate including the innovative impact of cryptocurrencies.

Moderated by leading real estate figure Gerardo Paterna, the event was attended by national and international guests including Americans, Canadians, British and Greeks.

Loretta Lazzarini, CEO and founder of CSI International Real Estate Network, guided the participants through an overview of the high-level global market, highlighting how on the one hand Italy is increasingly attractive in terms of real estate for foreign investors and on the other hand how important it is for Italian clients to have connections in the different countries of the world in order to increase and diversify their real estate assets.

MILLIONAIRE ASSETS AND MARKETS

Ilaria Mauri, CMO of CSI International Real Estate spoke on crucial issues concerning the distribution of wealth and investments in the real estate sector, with a particular focus on the market for large real estate transactions in Italy. Mauri provided interesting insights into the growing number of millionaires worldwide and their investment preferences.

The millionaire segment was analysed in detail, with the United States in first place followed by China and Japan. Italy, despite being a small state, ranks in the top ten in ninth place.

Over the next three years, the number of millionaires in the world will increase by 45% to 87 million, and half of their assets will be invested in real estate with a focus on the Italian market. In Italy, on the other hand, over the next three years there will be more than 2 million millionaires investing in foreign property markets.

TESTIMONIALS FROM ITALIAN AND FOREIGN REAL ESTATE PROFESSIONALS

The event programme included in-depth discussions on key topics, including the importance of internationalisation in the real estate sector and a panel discussion moderated by Davide Mauri, CFO of CSI, which was attended by Italian and foreign real estate professionals.

Among the experts from various parts of the world was Alessandro Fedele, consultant for Opisas, a construction and property management company in the United States. From London, Daniela Diotti, a real estate consultant from Century21 offered an in-depth analysis of the English real estate market. From Canada, a testimony by real estate agent Mahtab Etminani on North American trends. From Athens, George Tsitonas, real estate agent, shared his insights into the Greek real estate market. From Chicago, Machelle Palmer, property facility management, spoke to share her experience in the overseas real estate industry.

In addition, national experts underlined the value of the partnership for millionaire transactions in the real estate market: Giuseppe IannĂ², owner of Casain with 10 agencies throughout Italy, Gianfranco Lerda, Licence Partner of Engel Volkers Cuneo, Francesco Cappello, coach and founder of Mike Ferry Italy. Sara Santambrogio, PR & Communication Manager of GRUPPO VALAGUSSA, shared how the partnership with CSI International Real Estate can create value for network members.

CRYPTOCURRENCIES IN REAL ESTATE

The event highlighted the potential of cryptocurrencies in national and international real estate transactions. The intervention of lawyer Graziella Calciano and notary Guido Brotto enriched the discussion on this innovative topic, analysing in depth the advantages and risks associated with the use of cryptocurrencies in real estate. We are experiencing a revolutionary era in real estate buying and selling thanks to the advent of cryptocurrencies. At a time when virtual currencies are reaching new heights, the use of cryptocurrencies to purchase real estate is no longer a futuristic prospect, but a current reality. This development opens up new perspectives and opportunities in the real estate market, redefining traditional paradigms and anticipating an increasingly digitised and globalised future.

The event confirmed that big sales know no crisis and emphasised the importance of enhancing relationships and skills through collaboration between professionals in the sector, which is why the CSI International Real Estate Network was born.
